Mission: Add Apple CarPlay to Porsche 987

This later style of Porsche was lacking a modern technology, causing some issues to the driver. We removed the Porsche’s old CDR / PCM system and replaced it with a beautiful glass edged Pioneer 2 DIN head unit, fully equipped with Apple CarPlay. The Boxster owner can now enjoy Waze, voice-to-text, handsfree calling and of course music, podcasts and audiobooks whilst on the go. They can even check their appointments and calendar as well as asking Siri to schedule appointments.

This new radio unit includes digital radio (DAB+) and Bluetooth and other amazing features that make driving a real treat. The upgraded Porsche 987 infotainment system fully integrates with the car’s original factory steering wheel controls and BOSE speaker system so no functionality is lost. Android Auto is also available per request.
